Keywords in Domain Idea? Does it work?

Exact match keywords are really important in our domain so I'm wondering what will happen if we do the following:

Say I want to rank for "fried noodles"

Will using "friednoodlesfriednoodles.com" help me rank better?
What about "afriednoodles.com"?

Has anyone tested this on google?

I'm not tested already, but the first domain [ repeated the keyword at domain, its look likes a keyword spamming ] it will work for sure, but I don't know how the effect for your search engine ranking and risky of banned from search engine itself. The second domain is good, but instead using prefix, its better that you use suffix at the domain name, from my experience, it more better. But I'll try the first suggestion, and see how the ranking will be. I'm sure it will work great at micro niche website with low competition.

Not true anymore. Perhaps in aged exact match domains and/or low level competition markets. But Google is changing its algo and will penalize ranking if they even suspect domain spamming.

I should just mention that I'm not saying exact match domain will give instant top rankings, I'm saying ( from what I've experianced & learned ) that exact match domain help in ranking a website.

Where have you seen Google announce algorithm changes that they now take weight off exact match domains?

What tests have you seen done that show exact match domains are not a ranking factor anymore?

Can you give a little more detail about what you have mentioned?

I just did a little bit of digging on this & it does seem Google are looking into exact match domians as they do rank well & people are abusing this.

I think maybe they'll make it harder for new exact match domians to rank so easily but i think they will still play a part in ranking, even if it's small

A keyword rich domain name with a optimized site will help you rank. Its usually a combination of things that helps you get ranked well.

As others have stated having a keyword in your domain does provide some benefits, however I've recently heard through the grapvine that Google is considering getting rid of this.

All in all, I'd recommend doing some research as to what googles future plans are on the weight of a keyword rich domain.

I'll look into this.

I think the reason Google puts weight on exact match domian is because so many people use Google to go directly to a website.

For example, people going to facebook, twitter or Amazon will just type the name of the site into Google search instead of tryping in the full URL into the address bar.

I bet most people type "warrior forum" into Google to come here.

I believe this is why Google put so much weight on exact match domians.

Well that's exactly why. However people are using the exact match keywords to their advantage. Google wants to give searches the highest quality website for their specific search. If someone searches "joe blow" in google it will pull up joeblow.com first, whenever it should have pulled up joeblowjunior.com which is the better site.

Does that make sense? Essentially people have taken advantage of they exact match, and google is looking to make it an even playing field again so the best results show.

Better to have something that looks good & makes sense.

You will still be able to rank well without having exact mach domian. Just having the keyowrd in the domian will help.

Make sure keyword is in the...

Title
Description
H1
Within the content ( unique content )
In image Alt tags

Most importantly make sure you have the keyword in the anchor text of your back links.
