Google won't ban your site for duplicate content, however....

Just heavily re-word it (paraphrase it) and google will never know that you used that person's content.

Writing your own content is another suggestion.

You can also contact that person and see how they feel about you using their content, many people will be fine with it as long as you give a link to their site to send them traffic! Very few people will go crazy about copy-right infringement, unless you are copying from a major source.

let me know if you have any more questions!

My opinion would just to write your own content and replace the content that you have there.

Well, first off. It is always best to use your own content. The search engines would rather have you provide unique and relevant content, rather than someones else's. (In most cases). You will also have to make sure that the content is not copyrighted. You have to look at the terms and conditions, or even e-mail the owner of the material. You may have to link back to their site or keep the original article, without any alterations.

Google will not ban you for using other peoples content (backlinks), but there is a good chance that your page wont jump up in the rankings anytime soon. Try to provide more information on your page than just the article. Maybe a editorial review, or add some youtube videos, etc.

If you're using someone's content give some compliment and reference to the site that will give a link to the resource page.
