Websites down for 3 days - Google dropped them all

I was on holidays when my hosting was due and my host suspended my account.

It took 3 days to be able to contact my host and make a payment - therefore my sites were down for 3 days.

So much for 24/7 support - the phone numbers are either disconnected or just answering machines, and support is only there in US business hours.

All my sites were totally dropped from Google. If I type in the website URL, the site doesn't come up.

This is a catastrophe for me and my businesses. The sites were doing extremely well.

Has anyone has experience with this and have your websites regained their former top 10 rankings and traffic?

They will probably be back to where they were or close to it in a few days or so.

You might want to submit them for "reconsideration" with Google Webmaster Tools. They also leave a space to let them know what happened. I did this before and achieved the same rankings the site had before it went down due to hosting problems as well.

    3 days?

That is ridicules for a host. I wouldn't stay with them for long. When our customers sign up, They sign up for one of the reasons that we offer true 24/7. I'd recommend switching, get your refund make sure you have backups.

I agree that it's crazy for a host that states they have fanatical 24/7 support to have such poor support.

Phoenix, thanks - I tried your suggestion of reconsideration - will see how it goes.
I did see Matt Cutts saying not to use it if your site doesn't actually have a penalty (which mine doesn't) but hopefully it will be ok.
