Previously if you had a business or where working on a clients/friends site that had a business with an associated webiste that you wanted to promote on Google and Google Maps, you where only allowed to add your Google business listing if you had a physical business address.

This did not suite many business people because many of them ran online ecommerce stores or service only business's from their own homes and they where not compfortable uploading their home address to Google.

For some time Google has now offered a feature called "Places", it allows for exactly these types of listings mentioned above which where previously not able to be listed.

So what i suggest is you read up on Google Places here: About Google Places - Google Places Help

Then get your listings sorted for yourselves and your clients.

And then - Read about Google HotPot here: Google Unveils Hotpot, a Recommendation Engine for Places

HotPot basically lets users review business's which show up on maps and places. The significance of this on seo? Unsure, but i would speculate and say that it would only be common sense for google to add these to its alread massive algorythm. ie if said business has 300 rad reviews why not move it up a spot or two?

You can sign up fot it here: https://www.google.com/accounts/Serv...gle.com/hotpot

All the best!
