Article Marketing - How many

Hi,
Do you have any rule of thumb when doing article marketing, regarding how many articles to submit, to get a good google position?

I mean, do you know that if there are so many competing sites, so many inurls, etc., then typically you will need such an amount of article submissions?

How many a day/week do you submit?

Can anybody recommend a service where they will write articles for example for $3 a piece?

It's hard to say but I can just tell you that I've been submitting 3 to 5 articles every week
for the past 2 months. I have 32 articles with EzineArticles but only 16 has been published. 2 days ago I had my site and 3 articles on page 1 on Google.

Try this guy for articles. I don't know the pricing, but he does a great job: Article Writer| Website Writer|Blog Writer

I don't think there is just one right answer. Writing articles in some niches will get your ranked fast, while writing in other niches will require getting many, many more backlinks/targeted eyes on your website.

My article marketing goal is to follow the lead of Jeremy Kelsall and write 3 articles per day, per niche

For me, I have 5 niches or sites. But in average, it takes me 1.5 hours to write ONE article and do some keyword research and decide what keywords to target.

Most of the time, I only manage to write TWO articles per day (total 3 hours). Usually, I'm exhausted after that. I write all the articles myself and ONLY submit to EzineArticles.

I try very hard to speed up my article writing; but the fastest I can write is still ONE hour per article; plus keyword research and decide which keywords to target. But, most of the time, ONE article needs 1.5 hours.

If you try to write a least one article a day then you will begin to see some results. I only recommend submitting to the top ten directories on the web manually and then you can use an automated package for the rest.

Thanks for all the input. I tried to get a writer from elance.com, but it's pretty hard to find anyone to do it at $3 per article.
I'm already working with somebody for $10 per article (good articles, though).
How about lenght? I usually get them around 400-600 words. Is that fine? 300 is too short, right?

I'll check out getafreelancer.com as well.

atleast 1 article a day everyday will get you alot of highly targeted traffic.

use a combination of 5 different keywords per article, once the articles begin to rank high, that link back to your site will be a little more powerful.

If you continue to do 1 article a day you will begin to see great results in traffic because your articles are always working for you.

I agree. Even one article a day can make a BIG difference. Make it a habbit, one article a day. That is much better than submit 100 articles in a short period of time and stop. This is not oganic from Google's eyes.

Dont look at articles for traffic or sales cause you will get nothing but dissapointment.
Use articles to get good backlinks.

I submitted 8 articles to 500 directories and within 2 months I had a PR2.
I still had crap traffic though but I know for sure that if I had continued link building this way I would have reached page 1 for all my main keywords.

macchiavelli made some interesting observations.

I recently created a website and promoted it using only article marketing at the time.
During that time approximately 19% of my traffic came from click-thrus on my submitted articles and a little over 75% of that traffic came as a result of organic search engine traffic. The site is currently on the first page of Google for my main keyword and on page 2 for my second most important keyword.

So in this particular case the majority of my traffic did not come "directly" from click-thru's in my article resource box but from the organic search engine that came as a result of article marketing and some SEO.

I have recently started using "reviews" to generate affiliate product sales. I like what I see so far. I've even started to make sales from products that I did not give glowing review to.

A lot of trust and credibility can be built by giving straightforward, honest reviews. Honest reviews are also a great way to separate yourself from the crowd of marketers that seem to give every single product a glowing, 5-star review.

You can submit as many articles as you want to. The more, the better.

Depends on your budget.

You can easily get articles at this rate at freelance sites.

Regarding the number of articles per day or week, I thought about if google would penalize for getting too many links too fast.

I use a service for the submission of articles. Is Ezinearticles.com so important that I should manually submit there as well?

Personally I submit about 60 articles a month to the top 10 article directories.

I have been getting pretty good links and ranking for some of my articles in the search engine.

Another thing about article is to get your article pick up by other ezine publisher and this can boost your traffic too.

I think two to three articles a week will not show much effects within a short time. Try to commit yourself to writing 15 to 20 articles a week and you will see better results.

depends on what you need, i like to blast article directories for backlinks,but depend on how many urls i optimize, i will start from 1000 article directories a day, and at least 10 submissions
