You Tube video embed showing Google Ads!

Hi everyone,

I'm playing around with embedding some YouTube videos on my new website.

They looked ok to start with but now when I visit the page on my site, after the video starts playing, a Google Ad pops up at the bottom of the video!

How do I stop this?
I'm sure it wasn't happening a few days ago!

Any help appreciated.

Thanks
Mark

nothing is for free, and you can't ban ads on embed videos, they giving you server bandwidth so this is the price,

you can upload videos on your own server and then all will be clear.

If you are a youtube partner or when you get a certain ammount of views/interaction on even a single video youtube offers the addition of google adsense banners to make revenue, you can decline this.

if you are embedding other peoples videos then they may have just reached the threshold or become partners hence why the videos now show ads whereas before it did, or maybe there was ad that fitted the keywords but now it does.

      Thanks for the help!

So can I copy the video from YouTube to my server and then load it to my webpage from there - will that remove the ads?

    Nope.

That would be theft. Are you a thief?

Something to do with copyrights and silly nonsense like that.

Think of it this way...you get MRR not PLR with YT videos.

          I like that!

Out of interest, would it bother any of you that a video you're using on your site had a pop-up ad that could take people away to a potential competitor?...

          Thanks

Absolutely, but I'd make my own video not use someone else's...there in lies your dilemma.

              Thanks Dave,

              indeed, that's the problem!
I've been looking for videos that show certain products in action.
However, I can't buy those products to make my own videos due to cost, availability etc.

I'd be surprised if the mini ad on youtube videos will hurt your conversion much.

Something worth noting is that Youtube is one of the great untapped resources of the net and I hardly know why.

Folks easily grasp Google PPC, facebook, and even Twitter...

...But I think that Youtube dwarfs all of these.

I have a 3.5 million view youtube account and I've built a million dollar business off of it...and I hardly see people copying me.

            Weird.

There's just so much action with people searching youtube for tutorials, how to and entertainment and an angle to make money on much of it.

One more thing about youtube embeds by the way is that my testing has shown that it often gives your SEO a bump - even if you're not embedding your video.

    Thanks Factum,

Unfortunately I'm not video owner, so can't do that.

For now, I have installed the YouTube with Style WP plugin and it seems to be doing the trick.

    1. The video has come from a partners channel who has signed up to show advertising on their videos.

    OR

    2. The video has copyright music OR footage in it (eg you create a home video and use a Coldplay song as the background music) Youtube can now tell when this happens and those videos will have a link below them on Youtube pointing to the song on Itunes and the video will also have ads put on it so the artist still receives some royalties for their song being used.

I have several you Tube accounts through family members. My main account is authorized to run ads with Google. I do not want ads on many of my videos. I just put up an animoto video using classical music from their library....no royalty problems. I used an account that is not monetized through Google and they are still running ads in the video. I noticed someone said this may be due to the music in the video? Has anyone else had this problem?
I'm going to upload it with no music and see what happens.

Just a follow up.... I just switched the music to another song from the Animoto library and the ads are gone.
