When i 1st added my site to google, like 4 or 5 days later my site is ranked on the 2nd page for 3 of my keywords. Then like 3 weeks later, 1 day after i added 5 more pages of new content, and re-submitted my sitemap to google i go to search on the same 3 keywords and my site isnt even listed in the top 40 pages, i quit looking after so many....

Anybody know what happened there? I thought the more relavent content the better.

right before i submitted my sitemap for the 1st site, I also brought online another site that looked totally different but sells the same stype of stuff, yet the content that im selling on each of the 2 sites is different, just both in the same type category. Both websites are on the same server - ip addr.
Does google penalize your rankings for many sites on a single ip addr.

cause now that newest 2nd site i brought online is ranking on same 3 keywords on page 2 of google, just like the 1st site i brought online 1 month ago was, which is now almost non-existant in the keyword rankings now.

How can you be ranked so high then drop to almost nowhere in 1 day?

There isnt much competition for what im selling either.... only about 5 or 6 websites that sell the same thing on the net.

I have only submitted to the basic top search engines and about 10 or so relavent forum posts with my link in them. Also one of those free submission places that puts your site on a few hundred of them 'who is' indexes.

I guess to regain my page 2 rank again i need to get sombody to submit my site the right way?

Any recommendations on what place is good at doing this?

Do i need to just get somebody to mass submit my site all over the place to get my ranking back?

    hey itsintere,
    I use to think the same thing about getting your site indexed, but Google is tricky like that. I wont worry over it, because sometimes your site might be on the 1st page on the first day,then magically disappears. Reason is because the search engine is actually trying find where to place you. Pinging, submitting to bookmarks,etc all at once, can get you ranked at first, but you have to realized, there are other content out there, so, I will say, just wait.

    If you are impatient, I'd say type in your keyword in the search engine and comment on any blog or site that comes up on the 1st page of that keyword. That way, you are creating backlinks to your site, helping you get ranked faster.

    hope this helps:=)
