keyword help please

I am trying to understand how the keyword thing works. my site is: /ecig-skins dot com/ The main keywords for my site i believe would be: ecig skins, ecig, skins,

Is it good to put both words 'ecig skins' together as 1 keyword and still include the two words as seperate keywords also like i have above?

or is it better to just use the 2 keywords seperatly? like: ecig, skins

ror just use the 1 keyword: ecig skins,

what would the most effective combination for google/yahoo be?

also question about the paypal buttons on my site, in the wc3 validator they come up as errors, will that paypal code hurt my rankings? or do i need to modify their code to correctness?

    Put the keywords together.
