Google might lose exclusive rights to Pagerank this year, as Stanford University originally owns Pagerank's patent.

    What does that mean for SEO?
    Will we won't need to look for high PR sites now? Just search for regular backlinks on our niche but no matter the PR of the site?

    The PR is not relevant for backlinks what is relevant is if the page is indexed by google
