How can I use Social Media on Local Business to boost Organic Rankings?

Hello,

Because of the nature of my business (local), I have 10 mini-sites, one for each one of the cities I have business at.
I do SEO and Local SEO, where I rank well for the main keywords in my industry, however I'm not taking advantage of Social Media and I know it's something I shouldn't leave aside.

Can anyone give me advice on how to take advantage of social media, considering that I have 10 local businesses (throughout California), and that the traffic each website has is not that much (a bit under 900 unique visitors/month per city) however that's enough to bring business in my industry.

Thanks in advance!!!

Dan

    Hi Dan,

For local social, you may want to look at stuff like Groupon, Google Hotpot etc.

What type of business are you running or products? You may want to look at different options depending on the products you are promoting.

      Hi Mamun,

I sell roadside assistance services (towing, cars lock, etc)... so I'm not sure if Groupon is relevant... what do you think?

You could announce special deals, groupon style through twitter, the more real time nature of twitter might allow offering specials to all who show up within 15 minutes.

Not so much a social thing, I have herd of some who offer incentives for good online reviews, which pay off by iimproving their google local display position.

Yes, you are right - I'm actually doing that at the moment (recommendations, testimonials, etc.)... but want to get much more involved into Social Media...
