1 way or 2 way reciprical links?

I have a wordpress blog and use an article submission software to drive backlinks to specific posts. When I do so I get a bunch of pingbacks, however should I be accepting them for a 2 way reciprocal link or just leave them as a 1 way link?
Also I don't know if anybody accepts pingbacks or why from article directories. Usually they just look like spam in the comment section as they are just a snippet of your spun article.
