Yahoo page 1 rank 3 Google page 5 rank 6 what gives?

Hello Warriors,

On several of my sites I have page rank 1 on Yahoo & Bing within the first five. But on Google I am back on the 5th or 6th page.

What Gives?

    It's a simple answer, really: they're different search-engines, with different algorithms.

    In my experience, it's nearly always more straight-forward to achieve a high ranking in Yahoo (and to a lesser extent, Bing), than it is Google.

    Keep building backlinks, and in time you'll get there in Google too (providing the competition isn't too strong).

      Well said, as they are completely different algorithms. Don't expect ranking well in one means you will rank well in the other. Obviously that can be true though once you have built up enough authority to the domain, but until then it's completely separate beasts!

    Same issue... Except, imagine how you feel, but ranking 3 in yahoo, and not ranking in bing or google. Hmm. lol.

    Google website ranking algorithm is more advance and each website is checked for quality backlinks and content hence you have to keep on gathering quality backlinks for your main domain so that you can compete with other top websites within your niche.
    Achieving and Maintaining top ranking in Google is very difficult tasks and requires good SEO skills.. All the Best !!!

    Just keep up the work.. I'm sure you are on the right track... But as everyone else said the algorithms are totally different... Just keep building backlinks and you'll get there in no time... just stay committed... If you are already on top of yahoo and bing you are already following the right steps... its just slightly harder to rank high on google...
