Optimizing For Fresh Keywords on Retail Website

Hello Warriors,
I have a new website that I will use to sell mobile phone accessories and I'm trying to figure out the best way to optimize the website for various keywords.
I figure I need to have a blog and my various blog posts will be optimized for the specific keywords but I'm just thinking it may be awkward to have a potential customer land on a page that has an article/blog post, rather than a page that has pictures of the accessories I'm trying to sell.
I appreciate any in sight anyone has about my concerns.
