Ebook promotion thru adwords?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone is successful selling ebooks thru adwords? I barely see any adwords for any ebooks and I was wondering if anyone is doing that?

I don't see anything specific in google adwords policy (unless I have missed it) against the promotion of ebooks specifically.

    there is nothing wrong that i know of, that would stop people selling an ebook, the biggest problem is what is in the ebook and how it is marketed that cause the most problems.

    for example an ebook on how to cure every nasty in 7 days guaranteed is sure to get the blanket of doom thrown over it.

    I've found it hard to make it pay out.

    When I did it, the cost was .5 to $1 per click, so 100 clicks is $75 lets say.

    At $20 commission for the ebook, the conversion rate needs to be 4% to break even.

    Thats a pretty good conversion rate, not easy to get that consistently. I think with more time and experimentation I could get that up to 8%.

    But do I really want to spend $1000 to find out? Not really at this time.

      Err…actually a Huge number of ebooks (if not all at some stage) are marketed via adwords.

      Indeed a large number of internet marketers will have started out with adwords for selling ebooks. A search on google on ebooks directly may not show many ads, but find a top selling ebook on clickbank, then search on its title in Google and you will find a mass of adwords ads promoting it.

      There is nothing in adwords T&Cs to stop you selling an ebook as long as it fits within the usual guidelines – race/hate/drugs etc
