Hi all, I set up a wordpress site yesterday about 24 hours ago, intalled all in one seo pack, changed metalinks etc, and wrote a good blog post.

And now when i search for thekeyword (which is identical to my domain name, my site is on page ONE!! position 5!!!)

This term has 18k searches per month according to google keyword tool.

Is this possible or m i seeing things, or is this a temporary thing and will it creep back down the engines pages? Thanks,

charlotte x

You have it what google calls "fresh". You have added fresh content to the engines and it hits the top of the search for a while then it will go down.

If you want your content to rank high all time keep writing fresh content

    Good luck!

You are probably looking at the personalized Google results. Google presents to you what Google things that you want to see.

Go to a free proxy site (for example hidemyass.com) and then do the same search.

    What did you get?

Go to scroogle.org and enter your keywords. Click "select from 28 languages", then English.

Now see where you're ranking. As mentioned earlier, it could be because of your personal search history on Google.

But it is possible with an exact match keyword phrase domain, an optimized post, low competition and high search volume for the keyword phrase.

        Charlotte,

        Don't sell yourself short!

The replies so far could be correct (try searching using a different browser as an easy test), but if you matched the domain to the keywords to the meta-data in all-in-one, then you're laughing.

Make sure to add your site to the google webmaster tools and also add a sitemap.xml file.

Depending on your niche, you will start to slide if you don't keep adding fresh content.

As already stated, Google LOVES fresh, unique content!
