I found where is the best place for adsense ads in Wordpress. I have experiment for one month using adsense channel ads. My experiment is in singe page, I insert 3 adsense ads code top ads (336x280), bottom ads (468x60) and sidebar ads (180x600). I monitor everyday each channel adsense ads.
Result of my experiment is top ads (336x280) number one profit, 80% of profit come from top ads, 10% come from bottom and 10% from sidebar. Although you have put your adsense ads in the right place, Visitor absolutely as a big factor here. In this case I am only to optimize visitor click in my website.

2. How to make relevant adsense ads appear in your post or content?
You have much visitor everyday, you have much click but you feel the visitor and their click is still not optimize for your profit. I have experienced like you, before optimize I only get $1 for 60 clicks after optimize I can get $8 for 22 clicks.
According to me important to tell the adsense bots where the place for the keyword. Of course, all of website are not as a keyword, we must tell the bots specific. What should I do for this case? of course using adsense targetting but it is not enough to make your adsense ads relevant.
