I wouldn't waste much time working on this linking technique.

Google can see what you're up to and these links really don't help you out much anymore. Google can see the links coming from comment sections and those links are now pretty much useless these days.

You want powerful inbound links???

Use the SEO Smart Links WP plugin and use it.

Everytime you create decent piece of content you are firing mulitple links to other posts on your blog, and Google DOES count those - BIG TIME.

I second that

blog commenting is done for getting backlinks for our site and those links are external links. i don't think their exists such a pluggin which will generate external links for any site. that's what the whole seo is based on.

Internal link structure is good but we can't underestimate the importance of external links too.

I'd agree with some words of TZ, myself I've given up blog commenting for a while now, not because they that bad, but because I am following a better way myself now, instead of commenting in high PR blogs, I do create .edu blogs and inject my own links in the posts I add to these blogs, this way I've control over the outbound links and get valuable backlinks from other high & authenticated blogs/sites and it works like charm, yet, blogs commenting works but would require much work!

He posted an updated link later in the thread but a bunch lead to dead pages and all the ones I looked at have been spammed to death. Some of the have over 8k links and the lowest I saw was 1800+

8k links! Wow.

This is why I'm always afraid to post comments linking back to my main sites on auto approve blogs. Chances are, most of these blogs are eventually going to get spammed to death. And a number of these sites are going to be shady at best.

I'll run small Scrapebox blasts on "buffer" sites from time to time. But never on my main sites.

I heard of some auto-blogging type software that's out there. Personally, I try to stay away from anything that might upset my SERP or page rank either currently, or down the road. In general, I know it can be tricky to get backlinks to a site owner's blog, page, or website because of numerous variables. Among other things, there has been positive movement with "u comment i follow" badges if you'd like to keyword search it. Hope this helps.
