Backlinks Dilemma!

Hey guys!
Im having a hard time trying to find one way backlinks for my brother n laws A/C sales company. I tried soe directories but they all want 2 way only. How many articles can be written about A/C's that havent already been submitted? If i write just any article on any topic for ezine etc..., I wouldnt be able to add his website link anchor text that would be clearly non related to the article. How do you do this when you are trying to get juice for something like a/c, heat pump, furnaces etc.. sales? Im really struggling here cause ive never really actually built many links. :confused:
