Unique articles posted to multiple directories?

Hi warriors,

I know that unique content is best for SEO but also article marketing guides say that I need to post my articles to multiple directories like ezine articles or hubpages and include a link to my own web page. So, what is the correct method of doing this? I write my own unique articles. But if I post them in my site, than a few article directories, it's not unique anymore. Will Google see it as duplicate content

Any comments appreciated, thanks.

You should NEVER post an unique article to more than one article directorie. If you first post to Ezinearticles and then Goarticles Google will see this as duplicate content and maybe ban your website. So always try to write unique articles.

WRONG!!! And answers like that are why the old, old myth of duplicate content just keeps popping up.

The article is "unique" because YOU wrote it. When articles are posted on various sites and directories, they are being syndicated. They are not duplicated.

The exception is hubpages - but only becuase hubs requires content that does not appear elsewhere. For that you write another article or rewrite your original article. For directories, sites/blogs - that's not necessary.

There are many threads on this topic here - you can find with a search of the forum - where there are specific links and full explanation.

The simple - and correct - answer is there is no "duplicate" issue when you are writing and submitting your own articles.

As Kay said, it's fine to submit your article to many directories. However, you may want to spin each article before submitting to a new article directory although not required. I can spin my articles with one click of a button so it doesn't take much extra time for me.

You can submit your articles to as many article directories as you want. It is called article syndication and Google won't ban you for that

      If people thought logically....

You submit your "unique" article to EZA only. And think you have conquered the
google slap of duplicate content. So....100 people decide to publish your article.
(Which is what you want, actually) What do you do now? Your "unique" article
is now on 101 sites! Be afraid. Be very, very afraid.

EZA is full of nothing but duplicate content. And people bow at their feet.

If you are scared of some dup content myth, don't submit your site to article sites.
You would not want your article to go viral now, would you?

But then, you would never want to even have a webpage because anything is open
to be stolen. Someone is going to send you down by copying an article and putting
it all over the net. That'll learn ya!

Ok so you had answers of yes and no. Try it for yourself, submit an article to any article directory, and then try submitting it to ezinearticles. If it's dupe content, they will not only tell you but they'll link you to the dupe content. There are a couple of directories that approve anything and those are full of dupe content.

Write one original article and just spin it when you submit it to other directories. How many directories were you planning on submitting to? I always do a minimum of a 1000 directories, not only do you generate great traffic, you build thousands of backlinks at the same time. It's awesome!

Though I agree that as long as it's unique (as in your wrote it) google will not see it as dup content but as syndication. However if you are looking for backlinks then you will have a hard time getting multiple back links from the same article. The solution is the spin the articles using a spinner or do it manually. There are a few good spinners out there both paid and free. Check out a few and see which one works for you.

The best thing is to write a unique article for ezinearticles and create a spin of that unique article to be submitter to other article directories. Make sure the spun articles are still of good quality.

    actually ,
if u will post the same article on multiple directories with a bit spun version than there is pretty good chances that u ll get listening for all those articles on search engine if u ll do a bit of link building on all those articles .... there is nothing like that if u ll post ur article on one directory and if u ll post on others ..google see it as duplicate content ... only if there is no spinning done in it .....a little of spun is really awesome to get those links counted back to ur site with same content on it.....use different tools and ur imagination i m sure u ll get the better results ...
    hope this helps.
