Lets Face It: Google Penalizes Long-Form Sales Pages

Does anyone agree with me?

I have pages that have far many more backlinks, PR, etc. then sites above it.. and they are ranking like #5

I swear google sees long form pages and hates them. I think google is closely looking at site navigation, bounce rate, etc. and long form pages are getting burned.

    I have had a one page sales page slapped manually, but I don't there's anything directly against one page websites as much as there is not so much going for them.

    Google like sites that have many related keyword pages linking to each other and sales pages rarely have that.

    Slapped as in adwords? I think that yes, Adwords does hate long form pages. But in this instance I was talking about organic SERPS

    Also, does anyone feel that Google prefers above-the-fold navigation?

      No, slapped as in some work-from-home manual Google 'quality inspector' slapped. They do really hire people to look at sites. There's a leaked instruction sheet from 2007 floating around the net.

      My site got slapped from 2 to 52, then recovered for a week, then got slapped again and haven't recovered.

      Generally though, I'd probably add a blog on the same domain and link it to the sales page.

        Im shocked more marketers are not talking about this. I feel they are penalizing these sites too.
