Hey folks,

I´m glad to share with you the information on On Page SEO
which LITERALLY helped me to basically wipe out most of
my SEO leaks. I know that most people who are involved into
SEO - are struggling like crazy. Hopefully this thread is going to be
helpful to you folks!

The information give in this thread is implementable by just creating
"usual" blog posts, articles - and blogs, pages, and websites. However,
I´ve to say that blogs, websites and pages require more careful consideration
on optimizing well from the get-go.

So here we go:

Point 1) Select a specific keyword, long-tail keyword that you want
to optimize for. Make sure to fully optimize for this particular keyword
throughout the whole process, because search engines such as "Sir Google" love specific and well defined pieces of content and information.

Point 2) Use your keyword in the domain name, so that it´s more search engine friendly. like "http://internetmarketingcourses.org" - Always go with the 3 first suggested ones by godaddy, instantdomain search.. (.com, .net, .org)

Point 3) Now when it comes to creating awesome content make sure to instantly prepare yourself for the keyword.

Point 4) Use the keyword in the title.

Point 5) Use the keyword in the first sentence

Point 6)
Use the keyword in the last sentence

Point 7)
Use the first keyword in the first sentence and interlink to one of your pages. The general rule is this: Link from a blog post to a page. Link from a page to a blog post. That signalizes to Google that you´ve related, and niche similar content on your blog, website or page.

Point 8) Be aware of the keyword density. A good one is usually between 2 -5 %. I

Point 9) Link at least once per blog post or page to a high valued site in the eyes of the search engines. I´ve been using to point my keywords with an interlink to wikipedia. Google loves Wikipedia because it´s a site with lots of useful content and saw great to link to.

Point 10) Use Bold, Italic, and Underline (for the keyword)
The longer your content is the oftener you should use those. At least once per content, but if your post or page is longer you can use it twice or 3 times.

Point 11) Create long pieces of content because it usually means that you have better and more content to share what actually is true.

Point 12)
Writing skills are also heavily important to the blog posts, articles and whatever you want to create.

Point 13) This is only appropriate for blogs: Use All in One SEO (install the plugin). Add 5-8 related keywords + main keyword

Point 14) Use "Post Tags". Here you can add something like 5-8 keywords + main keyword.

Point 15) Use "meta tags". This is again for Wordpress. Add a useful, suitable and informative description - containing the keyword.
+ add 15-20 related keywords + main keyword

If you´re following these points step by step, you´ll reach better results than I´d say 98%+ of the people who think they know On Page SEO.

Indeed, there are more On Page facts which are critically important, but these are by far the most powerful ones.

The points are useful and valid but some points might be a bit controversial. For example, it is not necessary to mention the main words in the first and last text paragraphs on the pages because Google and other search engines nowadays look at the overall contents bodied to determine whether or not they actually have the words within the words and so, the placements might not seem that significant.

Hardly secrets, but great basic info nonetheless.

This really is all there is to it to have an optimized website. But offpage optimization is the most important form of SEO. I encourage everyone to spend most of their online time doing offpage optimization to rank their keywords.

Thanks for this post mate. Does it matter whether we are using wordpress blogs or just static sites? Which holds more weight in on-page SEO?

The information in this post given applies mostly to wordpress.org blogs. You can use some of the on page optimization for web 2.0 sites.

A blog has always more weight than a single article because your options are wider. You can even link from your web 2.0 site like blogger to your blog which is pretty good for SEO. It means that you refer people to your blog because of related content.

Hey, yeah we´re definitely talking about a static page - your sales page. You can hyperlink the first keyword (in the first sentence of the page) and add the link to one of your blog posts.

You can do the same from a blog post to a page. Google loves it!

    Thanks, nice post.

How effective have you found outbound links to be? Do your outbound links get devalued/ignored when linking to the same IP such as is the case with backlinks from the same IP?
