The best way to build a list!

Hi warriors,
I am currently trying to build a much larger mailing list and i think it's fair to say that the best and fastest way to build a list is through solo ads?
I have had some great response through the warrior forum building my list with other warriors and i think it's fantastic. Although i am a little optimistic with other warriors though?...
I have found that other warriors build their lists through solo ad campaigns on here then promote their own solo ad campaign!
The problem with this of course is that you could be paying for solo ads which then could result with your product that your promoting being sent out to the same email list? Sounds confusing but this is something that people are doing in order to earn a quick buck!
Their are other websites i know of such as - safe-swap, listbuilder.com and so on.
Does anyone know a good quality website that provides good service in list building?
