Is it possible to rank inner pages for different keywords (not longtails)?

I've been reading where people are getting exact match domains and creating these 10 page sites around long tail keywords of that main keywords.

homepage: Wireless ip cameras
page 1: Best wireless ip cameras
page 2: How to install wireless ip cameras

Is it possible to setup the site where you can rank for the keywords using an EMD but also to be able to rank the different pages on the site for different keywords all together and not just long tail keywords.

Example: Let's say my domain is wxw.wirelessipcameras and my homepage is optimized for those keywords.

homepage: wireless ip cameras
Page 1: 35 mm Camera bags
Page 2: Cheapest camera lenses

etc etc etc

I know this is a silly question but is it possible to setup a site where each page ranks for it's own keywords pulling in all sorts of traffic.

    probably.. it's just a matter of putting in the time required or paying the money to have the site promoted... i would assume that big companies do it all the time

      You can rank any page for any term... On-site SEO still applies: Get your keywords in the URL, <h1><h2><h3> tags, Meta description, on-page linking and keyword density. Also, it's a MUST... Make sure you're using the correct anchor text for the backlinks you're building to that page.

      The keyword in the URL doesn't really matter actually. Just make sure your keyword is in the title atleast.

      This is just how I do it and it works.

    A web page can rank for different keywords in the search engines. However, for link building, it is better to promote an inner page with one keyword.
