I was wondering which web 2.0 site or article directory would rank faster and higher in google: Squidoo, hubpages, ezine, article base, or any other.

I assume the higher ranked the site is, the more often the pages get crawled, you can look for the cache date in search results to see how long it's been.

There's some additional delay before an article submission goes live, particularly if it's your first submission.

I would suspect it'd most likely be between HubPages and EzineArticles, myself. And I'd say Squidoo would come last place; they're nowhere near as authoritative as they used to be, in my experience.

But who knows? Test, and see? There's nothing stopping you.

The type of site itself is not the reason why a site will rank well or not.

From what I’ve seen of Google, and other Internet Marketers tend to agree, Google doesn’t really care if it’s a Web 2.0 site, a Squidoo post, a Blogger post, etc.

All that really matters is that it has good content and plenty of quality backlinks.

The keys to success are very simple: build a website and fill it with a lot of good quality information. Try to pick a niche that does not have a lot of competition or else it will be really hard to pass them in the search engines results.

The next step would be to market the blog and try to get as many backlinks as possible.

If you follow that formula then you’ll find that no matter what platform you decide to use, you will be successful.

            Hi,

There are many factors that are responsible for good ranking in Google.com.

            1) On site Factors
            2) Off Site Factors
            3) Quality Content
            4) Approach Web 2.0 strategies.
            5) Social Networking

The site where you place the article is only one of dozens of factors that will influence an answer to your question.

You seem to believe that there is a simple answer, and there is not one.

I personally just started using Infobarrel as a means for article marketing also. With them you can monetize the articles with their Adsense sharing system. But, to answer your question I would start out with Hubpages, Ezinearticles, and the Squidoo. Even thought Squidoo is last, dont forget about them. All streams used have potential for more traffic

Just saying, but most of those article directories that do revenue sharing die fast...

I have been in the article marketing industry for more than ten years, and I cannot think of a single revenue share article directory that has survived more than two years.

If I had to pick one, it would be EzineArticles, but I still hold my original post to heart that this question requires an answer that could fill a book.

Hi gnannorman I went over to infobarrel and at first look they don´t have a established way to put links in there. Am I right about that? What about it?

Do you know these secrets? I have only 1 lens, but plan on adding more each day over the next month along with hubpages.

You need to test it and there are a lot of variables involved to make it successful in article marketing. But based on my experience and to answer your question I will go for hubpages & ezine.

I have found that an ezine article can rank pretty high without any backlinks
