A question on keywords

I've found a promising Amazon-type niche keyword phrase, it has decent traffic and low competition, but it's only a two word phrase.

Let's say it's 'electric toothbrush'. I see people going after 'oral b electric toothbrush' and 'braun electric toothbrush' but no one is seriously going after 'electric toothbrush'.

I've heard it recommended to go after 3-5 word key phrases but without using a brand name (which I won't do) this is the best phrase in this niche.

Should I go for it, or just go back to searching for keywords.

Go for it. It's just going to take longer, but the payoff will be much bigger if/when you make it to the top.

I will give you an example. I have a 3 word phrase like "electric toothbrush reviews" and it gets 30-60 visits per month to the site on just that phrase a lone. The 2 word version- "electric toothbrush" gets 200 visits per month. The first took a couple months to get ranked on, the other a year.
