Anchor text appearing automatically on URLs in forum?

Anybody knows how anchor text appears automatically on putting a URL in its regular format in a thread in this forum?

I just put a url to a s/f in this thread while replying and the anchor text came on it's own accord. how does this work?

Some forums scripts can easily convert URLs to the clickable web links and so there is no need to use HTML codes to manually adjusting the hyperlinks.

Hi Neil,

It's a common scripting mod for forum scripts. You can use your own anchor, however if you do not create your own anchor, the script fetches the page title and inserts that as the anchor.
