Taking a Subpage Article, Submitting it, and Linking Back to it?

Kind of a dumb question here, because I think its probably ok.
But if I take an article that has been on my site, and mass submit it to tons of directories, should I link back to both it (with appropriate anchor text - varied of course) and the domain?
Is this a good method?
