Firefox gives a different SERP than other browsers.

Has anybody noticed that when they do a search in Firefox the results on the SERP differ from what you would get when using IE or chrome?

I've tried this on several computers from several different ips and not being logged in to google.

Can anyone explain why this is? Does Firefox query a different data center? And if so. Why?

Cheers.

I have noticed this same thing! But only when it comes to my own sites. It's like they have a cache of sites they know I want to look at (my own) and they bump them up higher in the ratings.

AFI is right.. it is trying to personalize itself to your search history. For example, I am a programmer, and I most commonly search for things in one particular language.. so now when I am searching for a generic concept, Google puts that language's resources higher in my search results.

I have a website called NiedersJobs.com One key word that i have is Free Local Job Search, on all computers with safari my site comes up on page 1 if i do the same google search in firefox or explorer I am on page 62. Why is that is doesn't make any sense. My site comes up the same in yahoo and bing no matter what browser I use.

I would recommend using rank checker from link assistant. Check couple serp's at the same and more accurately.

You may try to go to the web history on Google search results page and click on "disable customisations based on search activity" and then go ahead to clear the cache.

Try to perform the search query again. The search results might be back to normal.
