I'm not sure which is the correct way to do this so i hope someone out there will help clear things up.

For Example:

If i comment 10 times on different posts in the same website will this create 10 backlinks?

Or.

Do i need to find 10 different blogs then leave 1 comment on each one?

I suppose the same question applies to forums as well.

    The more the better.

But getting more on different sites is better than more pages on same site.

Judging from your answer it seems boths ways will create backlinks for me.

      Thanks.

Yeah, of course. Every single backlink you create counts as one backlink. But as aaron_nimocks mentioned, getting more on different sites is better.

10 backlinks coming from one site is essentially, one person/website 'voting' for you, just voting many times!

It's best to get your backlinks (votes) from many different sites, and 'higher quality' sites too.

Hi, In that case your commenting and your answer would have greater priority to get more than one backlinks from the same blog post.

If you put a lot of back links in one website, I'm afraid Google will see it as a spam?? but I'm not sure myself..

Commenting on different posts or pages on the same website is fine, as long as you are making genuine comments that value and are relevant to the posts/pages. At the end of the day it is up to the owner of the blog/website to approve those comments.

To the first question, YES. You will get 10 different links. It's better to get links from a variety of sites though. One main reason is the webmaster of the site will start to suspect spam if you suddenly leave 10 comments on his site.
