I wanted to check whether some new articles are already indexed in Google.

So i use the well known "site:" operator in Google

For example, one sub-page:

Privacy Policy - Read How To Blah Blah Something
8 Feb 2010 ... Privacy Policy. We have created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm and continuing commitment to the privacy of personal ...
www.somesite.com/privacy-policy/ - Cached

"8 Feb 2010" is in front of all pages/articles...even the ones i just submitted an hour or so ago. In my wordpress admin, the articles/posts are all dated right, eg. for the ones i just submitted it says "Posted on Jan 12, 2011"

However, Google precedes each site and article with "8 Feb 2010" - also the ones it just indexed an hour ago!

Why? Anyone know?

Some more info:

On my site i have a small forum, and on the home page i have a "recent forum posts" widget. In this widget is a reference to a post on the forum "posted by admin on February 8, 2010".

Google must somehow read this "posted by admin on February 8" on the home page..and apply to all content on the site? WTF! I also checked my site-map...but here the dates and everything is ok. I guess i will just remove that widget with that date.
