I GOT INDEXED!

So I started a new site early this morning and worked on it allllll day. This is one of my first sites... and I managed to get it indexed. This is a big deal for me. It was my first goal. Now I just have to get it to rank!

If anyone wants to know how I got indexed in less than a day:

I did all the basics... like:
1. send a site map to google(that might have been it)
2. starting building backlinks by signing my blog up for the top free blog directories...
3. did some very basic seo - like keyword in title, worked on the meta tags, stuff like that
4. followed google's suggestions on how to get indexed, and ranked and stuff... google it if you're interested - this included including a site map for my visitors to see
5. I also posted a little original content on the blog
6. linked to a high profile blog(heard that if you link to a high profile blog the spiders come to your site and check you out - not sure if this is true though)
7. did some social bookmarking
8. did some commenting
9. i think i might have posted some content on squidoo and hubpages and pointed it to my main blog
10. wrote an article - only sent it to ezinearticles.com

I think thats pretty much it... I did a lot today. I'm addicted to this stuff. it's so much fun!

My next goal is to start to get ranked. Any ideas?
