3 Facebook Ads That Get BIG Click Through Rates...

If you're running Facebook Ads, the image you use makes the biggest difference when it comes to your Click-Through-Rate (CTR).

And when you get a better CTR, you get cheaper clicks - which results in more moolah for you!

After spending well over $2,000 each day on Facebook, here are a few of my biggest tips when it comes to your ads...

1. Boobs & Clevage Get Clicks...

If you've done Facebook or POF ads for a while, this will be no secret to you. Pictures of good looking girls with big boobs or showing some clevage will always get really good CTR's (usually over .2)

You can get clicks for .15 or less when doing this.

Now the key to doing this is you have to make sure the girl in the ad relates to your ad somewhat. So if you have an ad about golfing, a girl with big boobs on the golf course is going to get approved much easier than a girl with big boobs sitting on her couch.

Facebook has caught on to this trend, so you cant just get away with plopping a hot girl with boobs in your ad - you have to be smart about relating the girl to your ad...

By the way these types of ads also work well when you're targeting women.

2. Eye Catching - Up Close Photos

For one of our fitness ads, we use a picture of a guy doing an ab exercise. Ive found through testing hundreds of images, that the photos that are up close, and at "sharp, in your face" type of angle work a lot better than a straight on photo of the exercise.

So basically instead of a boring photo from the side, you would take it at an angle up close...

Its a small detail, but Ive seen a big difference in CTR.

3. Home-Made Pictures Do Better Than Professional Photos

This took me a while to realize.

But when I started out, I always used photos from IStockPhoto. After a while, I started taking some pictures of my own with my little $100 digital camera - and they ended up doing much better in terms of CTR!

I think this works because they look less like an "ad" when the photo is clearly taking by an amateur.

If you have some photos that are doing well for you - try to take 10 different variations of that photo on your own. If you need models find someone on Craigslist for $50.

If you're doing FB ads, I hope these tips help you - If you have any good Facebook tips, Id love to hear them.

- Justin

While as a woman I am generally disgusted by #1, I can appreciate how it would work for some audiences.

Thanks for sharing the tips. I need to start taking more photos on my own.

Maybe it's different with the bigger image ads, but back when I was running banners (468x60) in banner exchanges, the hot girl worked. I didn't even need the breasts and cleavage.

My best CTR came with a cropped photo of the girl's face, from just above the eyebrows to around the middle of the cheekbone. Blond, brunette, redhead, black, white, Asian, they all worked. The only requirement was that the girl's eyes were open wide.

It was pure curiosity play - the text was always "Wanna see what she's looking at? Click here"

Depending on the page the banner showed on, the CTR was anywhere from ~2% to ~17%.

Why do I see so many people going on and on about this. Yes, your CTR might go up but the only reason it is going up is because you are using an image of a sexy girl - and getting clicks you would otherwise not get. I don't want those clicks. I don't want clicks from people just clicking the ad because they see an attractive girl.

You might be paying less per click but you are now inviting a whole lot of clicks that are not necessarily interested in your offer - this is not good advice and I would not use this tactic. If you can't use images related to your product and still get a decent CTR then you need to be more creative with your images - and that doesn't just mean sticking a pair of boobs on them.

And in your signature it says "How I Make $300 per day with Facebook Ads". Over $2000 in and only $300 out? That's a very average ROI... maybe with images related to your products that get rid of all the non-sense clicks you could improve your results?

My sentiments exactly, I'll take sales over "clicks" all day.

I agree with you. The focus should not be the number of clicks but its quality.

I figured most people would be smart enough to comprehend that its not just CTR but also conversion.

It's true that conversions on "boob pics" arent as good, but when you can get clicks for .12 instead of .30, you have a lot more room to make money.

Yes my CTR is better - yes my conversions are worse - but overall its more profitable.

That post is pretty old, hence the $300 per day in profit.

Unfrotunately a lot of people who are new to Facebook advertising will see advice like that and just run with it - especially as there have been a number of people saying the same thing here on this forum.

But yes, it is definitely worth noting that although your CTR may get higher, it doesn't necessarily mean your conversions will. By using images like this they need to improve your CTR considerably so your CPC comes down enough to make up for the reduction in conversions.

Either way, I would still prefer to just be creative and find something that works but is closely related to my niche. There are plenty of ad images that have drawn my attention and have had nothing to do with hot women. You just need to test and test until you find something that works.

You are correct - it's not about clicks.

In the end, it's not even about sales.

It's about profits, and Justin has found a combination that works for his model, in his niche.

All you need is the sexy woman to relate to your offer. So if its about internet marketing, it could be a hot girl sitting at a table with a laptop...

I found that colours could also affect your CTR. Specifically, I try to include bright colours into my ad image, to draw the eye.

I absolutely agree with this as I have tried it in the past. Pictures of girls, in general, had higher conversion rate than anything else in my experience. I think the pictures of girls smiling converted even higher!
