    EDIT: before you think I'm crazy, the OP had a huge list of redundant ping services. Apparently it's been deleted since I posted this.

    NO NO NO NO NO!!

    I really don't want to spell it out AGAIN, but please don't use this list people.

    It's unnecessary, mostly duplicates, and many of these services don't exist any more. I've got a much better list of your.

    Let me warn you, it's HUGE... ready for it?...

        Based on his OP, I think he was looking for an RPC list to add in Wordpress, or similar.

        Even pingler has redundant services. IMO pingomatic is the best to use and covers all the most important services.

    Can I ask a question? I have a list of pinging services that i received from a WSO. If some don't exist or if they are from duplicate services, can that affect ranking or something? I am a little ignorant to this. Thanks.

      Sure.

      The ones that are no longer active will do nothing positive for you.

      Every time you post something on your site a script will run and time out because it can't reach the services it's looking for. This makes your site slower, and if you think about it, it's just pointless.

      Plus, you will ping the same sites over and over again. Depending on how bad it is, they could see you as a spammer.


      Don't take my word for it, check it yourself.

      Go through your list and see how many of those servers are already listed on pingomatic. Then, go through the ones left over and check how many of the sites are still live, still accepting pings, and are relevant enough to actually benefit you.

      My guess is you'll wind up with < 5

        Thank you for that explanation. I have about 30 plus! Some don't work. I have bounced off Google more times than I can count in the past 3 months. Not deindexed. I have always been in the top 1-4 for several keywords and the past 3 months I would disappear for weeks, come back for a day, and leave again. Makes me wonder if the pinging was the problem.

          I still think you should fix your ping list, however I don't believe it's the reason your struggling with Google. Bouncing around is normal and there are tons and tons of things that can affect your rankings.

            Oh. Yeah wishful thinking on my part. I'm trying to find the answer as to why this has happened. I've lost so much money in the past 3 months due to it! Thanks again. I'm going to clean up my ping list anyways since half of them probably don't work.
