Hello Warriors!

Question: Will having a picture ad right next to my right sky scrapper ad that has text ads on it violate Google's TOS?

Also for the search bar can adding a call to action on top of it such as "search here" breach the Google TOS for adsense?

      1. Adsense is not Adbrite. You can place the ads anywhere, but don't cover any part of it by another page element. It should be fully visible. Avoid arrows pointing towards the ad. If you use any title for the element, use Sponsor(s) or Advertisement etc.

2.Yes you can ask people to search in the Custom Search Box. Unless you ask them to "CLICK" on the ads, it is fine.

I have a lot of images on most of my sites.

My own rule is to keep it obvious that Adsense Ads are in no way related to the image. Never have any type of arrows in your image (nothing). No text in the image saying click this.

I also seperate the image & Adsense Ad with some kind of a border.

Don't put the image & Adsense Ad so that they touch each other, or overlap in any way.

If my Adsense block is 300px wide that's the distance or similar that I try to keep between my image & the Adsense block.

Been doing that for over 4-years without any problems.

Neither of those things will get you in trouble with the big g.

You won't break Adsense TOS, but the ad layout you are describing is going to lead to low CTR. $3k is not going to happen.
