Hello warriors.
I really need to check my site rankings everyday.
But it takes me a huge amount of time to do it manually.
I've been using traffic travis but the free version is limited to 5 projects and I now have 10 plus.

I can't afford to buy any software right now,
anybody knows what free tool can help me do this?

Please help me,

Thank you,
Isac

The free version of traffic travis should do this but I think it's limited to searching the top 100, the pro version is limited to the top 200.

Not sure if this feature is included in the free version of market samurai

Yeap I was using traffic travis, I still use it, the only problem is that I now have 11 projects, when I only had 1 project a few days ago.

And traffic travis free version is limited to 5 projects (

Rankiac is free up to a certain amount, then it's $5 a month after that. Not to be rude, but if you have 11 projects and can't afford the $5, cut some projects back. Free will only get you so far (though I completely understand trying to go free as much as possible). Try it out; it allows unlimited keywords for unlimited domains.

Thanks I'm thinking this one will be very helpful.

Yeah I know what you are saying hehe .
But I really want these 11 projects to be run at the same time.

I'll buy some tool when I get some income, it will be soon enough, just not now..

          Thanks a lot!

Have you tried Rank Checker from SEObook? I use this one all the time. It is a fairly simple tool (free Firefox plugin) which checks your ranks accurately.

You know what Mariek.... I was just trying this firefox plugin.... lol.

I had it installed for like 3 weeks already.. only that I was satisfied with the free version of Traffic Travis.. but I'm finding this little firefox plugin to be very efficient.

      Thanks a lot!

There is no real point in tracking your keywords every single day. Just head over to googles webmaster tools and submit your sitemap. After a few days it will start showing you what keywords you have rank for. It does update the list of keywords you are getting viewers for everyday but it is only done once aday. It is not the most accurate but it will give you an understanding of where you might need to do some extra work or what keywords you might need to build a few more links for.

I used to sit there doing just as you are doing with traffic travis. There is no real need for it. Yes you want to know where you are for your keywords but sitting there just tracking all day what are you getting done then. While you are taking an hour to track the list of keywords you know you have some rank for. I am able to pump out several more articles build several more backlinks and create several more pages on several sites.

It is just a waste of time. Rankings and keyword placement are not always adjusted on a daily basis. So just get to work and not worry about where exactly you are but instead just work until you do not have to worry about those rankings anymore.

Same thing I was thinking about.

Thanks for giving me an extra push. You are exactly right.

For the time I would spend checking my rankings I could write an article or make a bunch of blog comments and the rankings will come naturally... yeah I know that but just my human nature to want to track it all the time... lol.

I'll keep in mind what you told me.

      Thanks a lot!

Now I am not saying you have to stop with the tracking completely either. I am just saying there is no need to do this every single day. Google does not adjust the sites in its index every day. You can back it down to once a month if you really wanted to and get a hole lot more done instead of wasting the time it takes for you to run tt on your sites. Where as I can see more information from googles webmasters tools then tt shows anyhow. It shows me the percent of searchers who have actually clicked through to my site. I can also see how how deep google is digging through my site. I can get a better Idea of where my links are coming from and a much deeper look at how many actual links there are. Where it takes me about 20 minutes to look at all of this information on my 14 sites it would take you atleast 5 hours. You would have to run your sites and the know keywords through a tool like the rank checker from seobook. You would then have to plug in each and every link into a backlink checker tool. The list keeps going and going.

      Yup, I agree Pete.
The only thing is that I don't like google webmastertools and analytics because they tend to be really slow in update. Like they show today's date 2 weeks later.
Also google webmaster tools shows 10% about the actual number of backlinks...

But I'm guessing that since it shows the click through rate, I'm guessing it's still a very good tool.

No there not that slow. They are a couple of days behind with the webmasters tools. The last update was on the 13th so it is three days behind but remember their search engine is not updated every day either. They may update 40k keywords today and 60k keywords tomorrow and still have 500k keywords to be updated. So the search engines them selves are not updated on a daily basis.

As far as them only showing you 10% of your links this may be true but how many do you think yahoos site explorer shows you really. You will never get a 100% accurate reading from link popularity tool. The search engines all have there own algorithm this is so that people can not reverse engineer how they index their sites.

With the webmaster tools though you get a much large picture on how many links you have. It is still going to pull some of them off so that you cannt reverse engineer how they index sites but with googles webmasters tools for one of my sites I show 70k+ links where yahoos site explorer only shows 3k or less. Where do you think the bigger picture is with those results.

Analytics on the other hand is not that far behind. I think they have it down to about 30 minutes now. Where it used to be 2 hours. Although I use 2 separate tacking systems. One of which is analytics and the other is expo max. I also check my webalyzer stats about once a month just because but it is not needed.

If you are using tt to determain your backlinks the reason you may be seeing larger numbers is because they are combining the 4 major search engines links together. You will always get a different number for each search engine. The day they all start showing the same number I will not be here. So until then I will stick with the giant which is really the only one that matters. Even though bing has been gaining ground on them lately.

Thanks mate, your info will be very helpful to me.

Actually only use tt to check the rankings, nothing else.

Interesting with your site showing 70k in google but 3k in yahoo.

Thanks for sharing with me this valuable info.

Even when I am at places like here at the warrior forum I have something running and am building links to one of my sites. During these four posts I built links and am still building links. There is smarter ways to do things and there is the out right terrible way. While I was righting this here I had promo soft running in the background building me links to one of my sites. Not just some links but a large list of links all of which once it is done I will be building rss feeds on those links and have them submitted to a few rss directories. You can read more about it at this post http://www.warriorforum.com/adsense-...-rankings.html but there are smart ways and there are bad ways to get things done. The bad way is to track each keyword seperatly every day when you know they came from that keyword. If you do not know they came from that keyword you would never know people are actually seeing your site from the keyword unless they actually clicked through to your site. Where as using googles webmasters tool I know my site showed up for a keyword even if they did not come to my site. It just makes me research the keyword and see how difficult it is and how profitable it may be. If it is a profitable keyword I can start building links for that keyword until I get the desired amount of traffic I want from it.

Traffic Travis is one, and a good one for that matter.

You can also go on google and do a quick search on SERP checker.

Have you tried Rank Checker which is by the same people who make seo spyglass - there is a free version and I find it to be very accurate.

You can also search as many pages as you want by changing the preference settings.

    regards
