Using "free" in a domain name?

    While I have 1 such domain, it is a blogspot one I'm experimenting with, I think "free" in the domain name used in the sense of a product's price makes it look cheap.

    However, something like FreeTrafficSecrets would be OK in my opinion.

      It depends on the topic of the site. Everyone likes free! A site giving free tips on how to clean chocolate stains out of furniture and clothing is great and you could be an affiliate for cleaning products. Or how to improve your typing speed for free would show people free online resources, then you could be an affiliate for related products...

      So it depends....

    Yes if you are promoting some services or product in cheap price. Big no for authentic service promotions.

      Thanks to all warriors who responded.

      Guess it's a YES if in line with the niche/keyword.

      I was a bit worry that Google might not like the word "free" and downgrade your domain as it looks a bit like you spam people.

      If it's OK to get indexed, it's OK for me :-)
