quick question:

If I post a comment on someone's blog but the in the "name" field I leave my actual name instead of my keyword... do I still get some link juice for my website when people type in the keyword?

thanks guys

I really appreciate it

If the link is Dofollow you will still get link juice but it won't be as powerful as it would if you were using anchor text with the backlink. Still worth it IMHO.

The short answer is yes. Maybe not as much as if you had your keyword phrase in the anchor text, but a lot more than if the blog owner deleted your comment because your name was "cheap bermuda vacation packages"

I do not know if that is your niche, I am just making up an example.

You do still get link juice even if the keyword is not contained in the anchor text, but it is believed that the anchor text plays an important factor in the link and thus is weighed more. Other factors of inbound links, include:

The site from which the link comes
      The age of the link
The page on which the link is located
      The text surrounding the link
The page rank of the page with the link

So as you can see, there are other factors involved in the link that can add to the link juice, but the anchor link is very powerful and you should have some link to have your keywords in order to maximize effectiveness.

Yes you get link juice from it, however anchored text would get you more brownie points in terms of SEO. However, all the comments I ever get with their text in them I delete. As most blog owners would. I would highly recommend finding CommentLuv blogs so you can use your name@keyword. Blog commenting is a powerful linking tactic if done correctly.

    Hope this helps.

You do get link juice if you write your name. Try to be innovative in writing your name, it helps sometime.
