I see threads with people saying that they are having trouble just getting their site indexed, and it just blows me away.

This may seem rude, but WHAT ARE YOU DOING??

Seriously. Throw wordpress on your domain. Find a list of ping services to stick in the writing section of the settings menu. Download the all in one Seo pack.

And most importantly, Post quality content. It really doesnt even have to be THAT good.

I can put up an autoblog in 20 minutes and it will be indexed within 48 hours. Every time. Doing nothing but the steps outlined above.

So, if you are having trouble getting indexed, let me know (please no PMs). Is your site on wordpress? Do you have the option turned on to make your blog visible to search engines?

yeah its hard to not get indexed. However backlinking spun content might be a bit more difficult to get indexed at times.

Ok oddly enough I would have said this too a month ago. But right now im having the hardest time ever getting my new sites indexed. One site has 5 reviews on it (500 words each) and the others just have a few pages each.

One thing I have considered is that my pages are only say 60-70% unique content. But still this should not be a issue I think.

Anyways so how have I tried to index my sites you ask?

submitted to digg.com, folkd.com, misterwong, reddit.com, pingomatic.com, yahoo answers, craigslist forums, articlesbase.com, hubpages, related blogs, two .edu forums, made a blogger blog and put my website link on it. ( did this all days ago)

Also just in the last hour I put a link in my twitter profile and submitted my rss feed to feedage.com

So why are my sites not being indexed? I have check all search engines now and nothing! I have no clue but it's starting to worry me a little.

With twitter and identi.ca, every fool site is getting indexed within hours, if not minutes.

I never understood what's so hard about getting a site indexed by Google. Here's what I do to get indexed and it has NEVER failed:

    • Twitter & Digg - Just make a short tweet about your new page and submit to Digg. Shouldn't take more than 24-72 hours for your site to be indexed.
    • OnlyWire - Works like a charm. This is a free and semi-automatic tool.
    • Nothing - That's right. Many times I don't do anything and all mighty Google still finds an indexes my site.
    Good luck.
