Hi guys..newbie here..I've just started seriously in SEO like in Nov-Dec last year and i started with a blog which i reverse engineered to add adsense (I started the blog earlier without monitizing in mind). After 2 months or so i managed somehow to get 1 long tail keyword of mine to top 10 and another one on top 20..the rest is out of the top 100 league (in google and yahoo)..So i was like wondering, how actually i raise my other longtail keyword SERPs? Should I do backlinking directly on the page or domain? or it does not make any difference? How does anchor text on your particular keyword helps for that keyword to be rank by google? and should the anchor text link to your specific page or domain? Thanks guys

You can add backlinks to both domain and inner posts and pages.. for the anchor text use a keyword that the post or page you are linking to relates to - that way your pages and keywords you target all begin to rise in the serps not just the main domain

    Hope that helps

Thanks for replying Mission0ps. So you're saying that it doesn't matter if i link it to my domain or inner page as long as i anchor it with the right keyword that i want to raise in SERP?

it's depend on keywords relevancy if your keywords is relevant to home page you should link it to home page but if that is relevant to inner pages then inner.

you should decide to which page you want to target and make sure that is relevant

So can I say that if i created comments/article/etc and linkback to the subkeyword pages the main keyword will get promoted by default?

Personally, I feel like I have seen more benefit from linking to internal pages.

Both are good. Try to use diferent anchor text, not just the same keywords every time.

I preffer deeplinks over the domain.

An anchor text that are related to your page and i find it more effective than linking to domain.
