adsense sites stategy

Hi All,
I am very new here and also to the I.M. scene though been quitely watching here for a long while, assimilating information - seemed to be getting bogged down with overload at one point - not sure which direction to head in.
I have a few basic sites up and running to promote my off-line House Removals Business and also the wife's Ebay Business selling secondhand designer clothes. I have adsense running on these and do make £40 - £50/month pocket money and so seing the potential, I have decided to put up some more sites specifically to give good, researched information on tight niche subjects and hopefully be able to bring in some adsense and affiliate income from these, get them promoted and then repeat.
I am not sure if I am doing the right thing here and really want to develop the correct and best business model as a foundation for the future.
The process I am using is to:
Next I am looking to promote with a few articles to directories and Bookmarking.
Just wondering if this process could be successful, if any one can see flaws, am I wasting my efforts or how can I improve?
Also, because I am constantly checking/tweaking my sites, when I check stats, then most visits will be my own - is here away of viewing stats that do not take account of my own visits?
Any help/advice is very much appreciated!

The process I am using is to:
- research a niche, drill down to find low competition keywords with not too many competing pages, then feed into Traffic Travis - great tool by the way which I got the free version - which can analyse the Keyword, show the top twenty google sites and indicates how easy or hard it is to rank for this keyword.
- If it comes back relatively easy then I go look for a domain name with the keyword in it.
- Set up a wordpress site (hosted with Hostgator)
- Use a static page for Home page
- Find a relative video on Youtube and add to page
- Research and find some content and put onto a couple of static pages
- Optimise the pages using ALL IN ONE SEO plugin
- Use Unique Article Wizard to drip feed unique content Articles to Posts
- Use Automatic Backlink Creator to receive articles and build back links slowly
- Monetise with Adsense and/or Amazon
