UAW WordPress Plugin & Its Benefits...?

I have the UAW wordpress plugin installed on each of my sites and I have it set to send 3 articles per day to my site that I must approve. Each time the article is written decently, but not very good. And, they always have an out going link to their website.

I am confused as to how getting more content on my site that is going to probably be on 100's of other sites as well and also not linking to any of my sites or my site at all is going to help me for ranking in google other than the fact my index count does go up.

Maybe I was taught this way because then when someone searches a phrase in google having all of the different pages written for different things surrounding a niche have a better chance of pulling up? But I am not linking to their pages so they probably won't have any strength anyway... I just don't see how using this can help me in the SERPs, and if it doesn't then I'll just stop using it- just interested to hear everyone's thoughts. Thanks for your help, Andrew

      Hi Andrew.

I use the UAW plugin on sites also, along with Steve's Wordpress Unique (was here for sale on forum, but not sure if still listed).

It will not replace a human writing articles, but works great for me on "niche style blogs".

As for the outbound links, not much one can do about them. If you place your Adsense or other offers in the right places, you can still catch many visitors

one thing I would recommend is that you not take WordPress blogs very seriously. A lot of people probably don't want to hear this but blogs are basically over. Actually they were never a big deal to start with.

blogs were and are a trend. very seldom do we see a blog on the first page for any major search term. The reason for this is blog navigation and site structure is quite limited and robotic and automatic. Google recognizes this and understands that it is not a unique site. Regardless of how much unique content you put on your blog you're still locked into the blog structure which will eventually leave you at a dead-end.

over the years by constantly come across people struggling to grow their blogs beyond what a blog can do. People start blogs because they're quick and easy.

Blogs are a good way to learn how to build a site focus on keywords and build links in. Blogs are like training wheels on a bicycle. The only difference is when you're on a blog you can take the training wheels off because you're stuck in that structure. Not a week goes by when I don't run into someone struggling to get their blog ranked higher but does not realize that blogs are not taken seriously by the search engines.

The only blogs that I have ever seen be successful are celebrity type blogs like Matt Cutts or heavily promoted blogs that are a subcomponent of a major site. Blogs are not meant to stand on their own. Blogs are mainly a personal item and not intended for extensive business. This is why search engine consultants run blogs as a side component of their main sites.

Didn't mean for this to get so long but hopefully you'll start in a direction that will take you much farther and much faster than the blog will

That is not true. i have seen a lot of ordinary blogs that appear on the first pages of google results for various millions of keywords. Blogging platforms like Wordpress acutally gives you the opportunity to enhance your blog so as to achieve great seo benefits. Most people who own blogs and normal sites alike are struggling to get ranked high in search engines. Blogs or no blogs, what matters is the type of tools you are using for seo and also the amount of work you are willing to put in.

I totally disagree, but each for their own.

Have had great success with using the Wordpress platform for simple niche blogs to full blown membership sites.

Setup correctly a Wordpress install can rank at the top of Google using only free plugins.

Just my take on it and Wordpress works for me.
