Google Sent Me Packing...Can I Re-start?

Hey guys,

Heres my situation...

one of my websites got sandboxed or de-indexed. When I search "site: ... " is doesnt show up.

It was my fault, I added too many edu links in a very short period of time and it must of put up a red flag.

Now my question is, can i put a no-index metatag on my banned websites so google does not register them anymore?

or do they keep a history of websites that have banned?

Because i am going to register a new domain and add the same webpages that i had on my previous site.

Have any of you done this before?

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Oz

Good question. While I do not know the exact answer to your question, it's
possible the G may have a documentation system for sites that have been
previously delisted by their engine (ie. 'blacklisted' with their index) along
with the content that was on it at the time it was delisted to compare to
future pages it may come across again in the future. Now, whether or not
the NOINDEX tag will work in this situation and prevent the spider from
even checking out the content to 'compare' it to the previously
documented site content that may have been blacklisted
before is something you'll just have to try it out and see.
What do you have to lose at this point since you've already
    got your site delisted.

    HOWEVER...

How long has it been out of the index for so far? If it hasn't been very
long, don't jump the gun...the G does some funny things sometimes
when it comes to new backlinks to various pages. At times you can
go in and out of the index (yes, the index...not talking about just
ranking positions here) during new algo changes, particularly with
    new sites.

As the above poster stated, I wouldn't count yourself out just yet. Wait a couple of weeks and see what happens. Yes, over-zealous back-linking may have flagged your site and temporarily removed it from the index but it doesn't mean it is gone for good.

In regards to the noindex tag, all this is telling Google is you do not want them to index that page in their search engine. The robots still see those pages and if your site was at one stage indexed, they will have already seen those pages. Putting up a noindex tag now wouldn't do much I suspect. They already know where that content has come from - if you go and try adding that content to a new site it would be like telling Google.. "Hey, it's me again, over here at this new domain!"

My advice would be to give it a few weeks. If nothing changes and the site doesn't come back then purchase a new domain and create new content ie start from scratch.

You could buy a similar domain name and port your content over and use the current domain for a parked Adsense site. If you do this - buy the new domain on another persons CC so it is not linked to you. It is hard to say because I don't know how much time you invested in this.

I would not mess with the robots files. If you keep building links eventually after they conclude it is not a spam site you will be re-included in their index.
      Hope that helps some

      Cheers,
      O

I had something very similar happen to me not too long ago. What I did was I stopped building junk links, and started focusing on getting links from established sites. I was back in a matter of days.

Unless you are doing something real black hat, I wouldn't worry too much about it. It is very common for sites to dance all over the place when they are new. Just keep linking at a steady pace and don't stop. The site will come back, especially if it has good content that is being added regularly.

I've had the same thing happen several times, and the sites always come back in a week or two.

Now if you have crappy, scrapped content...that's a different story.

      What is the domain?

There's no such thing as building backlinks too fast... And getting in trouble for it... This MYTH has been debunked MANY times in this forum. I've personally debunked the myth with new sites and LOTS of backlinks...

Check your Webmaster Tools... How many Crawl Errors is Google finding? How about Malware? Are you using any Bl@ck H@t tactics?!?!

Backlinking has nothing to do with what's happened to your site. Hell, maybe Google "hiccuped" and temporarily "moved" your site?!??!

If Google bans an account (I'm assuming we're talking about Adsense?) they won't allow that domain to dispaly Adsense Ads anymore period... I'm not sure what the time frame is for that ban or if it is permanent or if you would have to re-register under another name and "petition" Google to allow Ads to display on that domain again?!?

      MESSY MESS!

Your website probably got de-indexed because of what you had on your website rather than from the links you have pointing at it. You are probably correct in saying that the links raised a red flag and you might have had a Google employee manually review your website.

You need to take a step back and see what you have on your website (or what you are lacking) that might have caused it to be banished. Thus, whatever you do, do not put the same content on a new website.

Do a critical analysis comparing googles terms and conditions and what you are currently doing on your website. Chances are you know what you did to violate them. Step 1 is to stop violating, then try to fix. Usually you will be deindexed for a certain period of time. A penalty of sorts. Did it happen overnight or was there a slow decline in ranking? Were you deindexed at yahoo and bing too? If so you can see where the difference is between their terms and conditions and googles and maybe arrive at where you erred...

Why dont you submit a form to Google asking them to reconsider your site for submission if you feel so strongly that your site has been flagged by G for something black hat?

You have no control over who links to you but you have control over who you link to. Just go through your backlinks on Yahoo Site Explorer or put your domain name in quotes in G to find out sites pointing to you.

Check if you have submitted to any suspicious or black hat sites. If so try to remove it if you have a login for submitting that URL on the bad site. Let G know in your submission that you have cleaned up the site in your request form for getting your site admitted back into the G index.

<<Your website probably got de-indexed because of what you had on your website rather than from the links you have pointing at it.>>

In every page Im offering value... I give good solid info. my homepage is a pretty damn long review about the product im promoting. a solid review type.

my other pages, micro niches, provide awesome info on the niches (e.g. 'how to' guides) before at the end doing a bit of a quick sell for the product.

the only blackhat things ive done is buy 1000 link packages for about 3 different URLS in the domain.
I also manually backlinked quite a few edu links.

Oh, I didnt have a site map when I was taken off google so I fixed that up.

I sent off a reconsideration notice. They say it takes a few weeks! This was starting to become my $ INCOME... now who knows when, and IF, it will be back on google!?!

I only have about 90 backlinks on yahoo explorer that are pointing to all pages in my domain.

like others have said, it probably not a link issue.

        it makes me so frustrated!!
