Okay, I don't want to get this deleted. I'm not going to link to my page. You can cut and paste and check it out though if you'd like. Longer Sex. Better Sex. More Sex. Free Info. | Longer Sex Length

I was hoping someone here, more experienced than I am, would have some insight into how I could develop a better strategy to get backlinks for my website.

I've used onlywire to submit all my pages, but it seems that none of the submissions are listed in yahoo as backlinks. I was hoping that onlywire would be enough to get some decent organic search traffic, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. My hope was that backlinks would happen naturally from people linking to my page. Of course, I still have many more pages to post, my content is far from complete. I was hoping to get more data from analytics before I post a lot more content though, so I could write my content with a more targeted strategy.

I am now considering doing ezine articles to generate some backlinks. I have heard so many different opinions about article marketing though, and i'm not sure exactly the best way to go about it. There are hundreds of article sites in addition to ezine.

Is it best to just post on ezine, or should I post on ezine and then repost the same articles on to other sites?

Does it make sense to repost the content I have on my website as content for ezine or should I write new, original articles?

Does anyone have any insight they could share with me? I believe it would also be useful for many others.

Seems like it posted a link automatically. Mods can remove that and simply post the address if possible?

You should submit your articles to different directories as well. The more the better!

Hey thank you so much Steveski, i'm writing up articles as we speak to put that method into action.

I am really excited to build an authority site.

Looking at my site, have any SEO/DESIGN/People who've had authority sites "experts" got some opinions on where I might be going right/wrong?

I feel like i've learned quite a bit about Internet Marketing over the years, but this is my first real attempt at making a website that will bring in long term profits for years to come. It's a rather big deal for me as i'm also going to be writing an detailed book about sex to accompany it, that I believe will offer insights i've never seen anywhere else.

I don't want to pretend i'm any sort of internet marketing expert though, so I humble myself to the advice of the people who are much more experienced than I am, lurking around these forums.

    About ezinearticles:

    a) they only except original content, never submitted anywhere else before
    b) their TOS state that you want to be extra careful if you submit topics that deal with sex

Have you tried with Profile backlinking. I use following queries to find powerful backlinks.

site:.edu inurl:blog "post a comment" -"comments closed" -"you must be logged in"
site:.gov inurl:blog "post a comment" -"comments closed" -"you must be logged in"
site:.edu inurl:blog "login or register to post comments"
    "powered by phpbb" site:.edu inurl:/forum
    "powered by phpbb" site:.vbulletin inurl:/forum

    • Yes, profile backlinks are a fast, easy, time and cost effective way to get lots of quality backlinks to your site. I checked out the site and found it a bit...basic. Just a page with text on it and a nav bar? Just feels like something is missing. And make sure to not pay attention to keyword density or something, write more for your readers than the search engines because you can be penalized for keyword stuffing your site.

Well the site i'm building basically amounts to an easier to navigate pdf ebook.

Only the main page is keyword optimized. Keyword density is not in the range of keyword stuffing risk.

I am going to add a bunch of extras though to get people involved in the site and increase the amount of page views per visitor.

I'm going to add a tab for articles by category and some kind of interactive "ask the sexpert" feature, where it's a humorous picture of a "sex expert" that you click on and it bring you to a page with different questions people might ask about sex that then links to pages with the respective articles on the subject.

I'm also going to add a sex comedy tab that's going to have cartoon strips about sex, and sex jokes. That way I can sweep up all kinds of reddit and stumbleupon traffic.

My goal is to get as many eyeballs in front of the informative content as possible through any means necessary.
