Please enlighten me on this one.

A small SEO company takes crappy websites and ranks them in the first placements of Google for extremely competitive keywords.

Here is an example: top dash gamos dot com

The only information I have is that the SEO guy works with a US-based "elite" SEO team. I could not snatch more information. They are very secretive.

Enter the website into Alexa.com or Semrush.com and see the top keywords it ranks for to see what I mean.

How do they do this? How can more intelligence be gathered to find out what they do?

Many crappy sites rank high. Consistency, WORK, links, links, links, articles, authoritative backlinks etc.

Can all be done, even in highly competitive niches.

Is this so easy than why so many SEO companies are there. SEO needs time, no one is Google and no one can grantee that he will get first page first no for your keyword in dash time. Please tell more about keyword they target, this will explain the whole story.

I would imagine it would be very easy to take
      top dash gamos dot com
Why not? It's all Greek to me. Competitive terms? Like what?
Greek weddings? How competitive is that? Especially when you
      want Greek-based Greek weddings....

The site actually looks pretty good to me...I've seen worse...
but I don't know what the average Greek site looks like.

Ask them to take a crappy student loan consolidation US-geared site,
      and see what happens.

However, one man's crap is another man's treasure.

seo can be done and you can rank any site if you know what you're doing. The person ranking will add the relevant keywords and terms to rank the keyword. There's also different approaches to rank your site so it would vary on the effects.

  • Personally I am not sure if this is a badly disguised attempt to market your SEO company or a genuine question. But after looking at the site, I see absolutely nothing special, other than they are targetting greek terms with little or no competition.

Nothing special about their SEO prowness or anything.

Its all linkbuilding efforts, you can rank well for any high competitive keyword with consistent work and quality linkbuilding. This is what they are doing, I think so.
