The first one is the best URL option to rank the keyword Big dogs.

So if there is not option for choosing that url you can move to the second choice.

Keywords in the url really works good in ranking in SERP. As also the keyword order also the same.

I don't really think it makes any difference so long as when you are doing seo you use you desired keyword order as anchor text.
I just typed big dogs on google and dogs big i had the same result appear for number one on google.
Unless your customers will be searching using quotation which can be next to impossible.

    I hope this helps.

      Hey ed22
I am not writing just for the sake of ranking in the SERPs when you choose a URL bidogs or dogsbig

When others want to link to your site or try to remember the URL of your site, it is much easier to remember bigdogs.com than dogsbig.com

So having a short easy to remember URL is an advantage but that said, availability of such domain names today is hard.

Yes, the example was useful - nothing beats testing IMHO!
      Thanks all

Yes it does matter. If your keyword is in URL, then there is a big possibility that it will rank fast and become visible in Google fast.

Better to concentrate on getting your keywords in your page content, page title, alt tags, and text links.

    Hi all,

Most of search engine optimization centers on guessing how users will search to find your site. When you're optimizing for organic search results, you shouldn't be surprised to find out how much word order impacts your rankings. It all works on a 'best matching principle.' If your customers search for 'Medical Malpractice Lawyer Chicago' in that exact order AND you optmize for not just those words but also that EXACT order, then - all things being equal - you will beat out a competitor who has the same words but wrong order.
So try to 'guess' the word order used by your customer as well as the words used. But use variations, because probably different people will use different word orders. You are looking for the ones with the higher volumes vs. other word orders.
    Hope this helps!

Agreed It makes no difference at all as long as your site is well optimized and informative for the visitors, you will gain quality backlinks from it.
