Do the likes/dislikes on youtube affect your video ranking?

One of my videos was ranking in the top 10 on youtube for one of my keywords and then I suddenly noticed all the videos in my account getting 15 dislikes and now that video is no longer on the first page.

Since they all have exactly 15 dislikes I know that someone is using a low blow tactic to screw me over. Could the dislikes really knock you off from ranking though? I would imagine google/youtube being smart enough to not give any weight to the like/dislike feature because people can just spam it with bots.

If this is indeed the issue, how should I proceed? Should I get some sort of automated bot service to counterract this with a ton of likes?

Or should I take down the videos and reupload them? None of them have over 500 views, though some of them have a few comments already.

    Sounds like a little foul play. I would go over to fiverr and buy some like to counteract what damage they have done. It is my understanding by the way that the like/dislikes do count.

    Yeah they try to blow you up.. My advice life is like that don't give up...

    Keep on posting or pushing... try different video sharing sites there are plenty of them!

    In my knowledge likes/dislikes do affect your ranking in youtube because thats the only way for them to rank the videos!
    Keep pushing! There can never be more dislikes than likes for a good video!

    would i be better off sacrificing the 500 views ive accumulated for the videos in order to get rid of the 15 dislikes and start with a clean slate?

    does anybody know what youtube gives greater preference to in their ranking? views, comments, likes, etc?

    edit: its now up to 19 dislikes consistently all across the board for all my videos, what am i supposed to do with all of this? i dont want to start dropping money to get it in the positive again and then have them attack it with more dislikes.
