After doing a bit of testing, pinging profile links and using RSS feeds, hasnt been that effective for me.

Are there any ways to index majority of your profile backlinks?

I think the only and the best way is to ping them, this worked for me.

You can also post the links on a blog (make up one for this) and when they crawl the blog they also are crawling your links....Works for some not all

bookmark and tag your links 1st then ping them. Almost need to energise your links 1st before you ping.

Try social bookmarking them too. Otherwise wait. If they are worth being indexed, they will be.

If I get on a forum these days, I get involved by posting in forums related to the stuff I'm peddling. It's a bit more interesting this way and I can count on those backlinks.
What do you think that you could've done instead of the time spent for creating forum profiles? (Just curious)

I've seen a few sites who are number one in google for pretty tough keywords with their only backlinks being forum profile links. There must be some way to get them indexed. So here we go again.. any ideas?

why not try posting and getting profile link from each forum as well? Doing so, you get the most benefit from them all

you can certainly build some backlinks for your profile link like placing your profile at the blog sidebar as a link so that search engines would crawl and index your profile link. Also you can place your profile link at the forum signature option as this also would work.

I don't believe profile links will help much at all when done in a very low quantity. You will need thousands, and it isn't realistic to do that for each profile.

I second that. They gotta be huge to benefit you.
Indexing them will take some time but you need to maintain a daily consistency rate (for indexing) them.

And in regards to indexing those links... you can ping them or drip feed through rss feeds, but only 10% will actually end up being indexed that way. It is better to have the search engines find them naturally
