HELP: Conversion tracking for each traffic source

Hi,

I've seen a decent fall in traffic off the back of Ezinearticles and would like to do some testing on how many LEADS that source actually generates (traffic may be lower but if you still get a decent number of conversions may be worth keeping...)

Can anyone recommend a good software / site that allows me to track how many leads / conversions each traffic source created?

I know Google Analytics has a goal function that I suppose does that but for some reason it doesn't seem to work on my side...just wondering if anyone had any other recommendations

    If you just are tracking conversions from a source, analytics will do that automatically (except URLs in email marketing, those you need to use the analytics url building tool).

    If you want to assign a code to sales leads to track them all the way thru purchase, you need to use php or some scripting to append the source to the inquiry when they submit a form. That would be a custom solution but its not that hard.

      Thanks - how does analytics do that automatically?
      I've tried setting Goals more than once but they show no conversions (and I know there have been)
