Hey guys, we landed a new massage therapist client and I am about to start submitting to local directories and building citations. BUT; when I am building these citations...am I using the google maps url or the companies home page? Which is better for Local SEO results in yall's opinion (Yes I am from Texas )
#building or google #citations or link #places

    Hello,

I've had great success with Google Place. What I would advise is build as many citations as possible, then claim the business, this way it seems that more citations get linked to your account quicker.

Use the companies homepage as the URL - it's questionable whether or not links directly to the Google maps url actually has an impact. I don't know if you noticed but Organic results are now merging with places results and appearing separately from the traditional 7 pack. Also, for a citation to work, it doesn't have to be a link.

Any questions, feel free to PM.

    Best of luck.

Hello Greg. A citation is basically your company name address and telephone number posted on sites around the internet.

It's like a link, but the link being your company information. Here's an example of how it might look:

    Fictional Company
    232 Wonderland street
