Help Need!! Adwords Display URL vs Actual URL

Hey All!

I brought a domain, lets call it weightproblems.com, I hosted this domain with a Meta refresh page which took the browser to my hoplink (lets call the product page where my hoplink goes to as "overweight.com").

Google said it wasn't allowed as I was displaying "weightproblems.com" in ad copy, yet taking visitors to "overweight.com".

So I decided I'd simply mask and forward the domain with GoDaddy. However I want to take visitors to overweight.com/index2.php since if you go to overweight.com you get a huge ad "saying wait sign up for free e-book" which will likely distract visitors from the core product and my potential sale!

However they product creator has several index pages on which doesn't show this annoying ad its index2.php.

So if I browse to myhoplink.com/index2.php it takes the user to overweight.com/index2.php problem solved I thought!

However when I forward mask the domain in GoDaddy to take browsers to myhoplink.com/index2.php it only directs them to overweight.com rather than overweight.com/index2.php

Does anyone have a solution to my problem? I need to mask the domain yet take vistors to overweight.com/index2.php with my hoplink.

    Only happens in IE, have a feeling my index7.php isn't doing anything just Chrome is blocking the ad.

    I think I might just find another product to promote....

    yes buddy what you want to do can not be done. sorry

    you can not use a masked domain name, some old mmo guides tell you it can be done but it is very outdated.

    tip number one for free today just for all here so keep it mum, DO NOT bother sending adwords to a clickbank offer for weight loss as a direct link masked, normal, wrapped in a paper bag, hidden under the rug or by any other means unless you wish for you account to be suspended for life.

    and then i would tick another 99.99% of CB products in the same category as above, if you are going to tempt the fate of google and click bank use a landing site and link from there, at least then you can fix the site if your suspended and have half a fighting chance if so.

      How about PrettyLink (a WordPress plugin) for tracking links? That has the benefit of using the same URL as the main site. But the PrettyLink redirects appear to be S-L-O-W.

      Are any other trackers preferred by G or Yahoo/Bing?

    Okay, so it seems basically I have two options:

    1) Display url same as destination url which is a link to a landing page (a page I created used as a presell) then link to the clickbank product from there.

    2) Display url = clickbank product url, destination url = hoplink

    Is this correct?

      with number 1. do not build a land page or you will not get past the gate keeper at G, build a land site with all support pages.

      with number 2. forget it unless you like juggling fire for a hobby.

    By support pages are you referring to "About us" "Privacy Policy" ect, or more information pages?

    Have you had success with Adwords?

      yes those are the pages / success is seen and judged by different eyes ? is there a specific question you have ?
